These daily marriage devotionals are compiled from verses that we have shared with Christian couples in many counseling sessions over many years. Please read one per day and meditate on how it applies to your marriage. (Note: if you are not certain you are a Christian, please read The Sinner’s Prayer)
The LORD will not allow the righteous to hunger, But He will reject the craving of the wicked. (Proverbs 10:3 NASB
In this verse, the writer of Proverbs is reminding us that God takes care of His people and protects them from harm. He does not let the righteous go hungry, but rather provides for their needs.
But what does this have to do with marriage?
As we strive to build a godly marriage, it’s important to remember that our righteousness has an impact on our relationship. When we live a righteous life, we are living in obedience to God and His Word. This means treating our spouse with love, respect, and kindness. It means seeking to serve and bless them, rather than seeking our own interests.
On the other hand, when we allow wickedness to take root in our lives, it can poison our marriage. It can lead to selfishness, anger, and disrespect. It can cause us to hurt our spouse and damage our relationship.
That’s why it’s so important to cultivate a righteous life in our marriage. When we do this, we honor God and bless our spouse. And when we seek to live in obedience to His Word, we can trust that He will take care of us and provide for our needs.
So let us strive to live a righteous life in our marriage. Let us treat our spouse with love and respect, seeking to serve and bless them. And let us trust in the Lord to guide and provide for us as we do.

This is an ongoing labor of love because these marriage devotionals will never be finished, but we have to start somewhere, so we will update often. We appreciate your support and prayers because this is a work of God not us. And please forgive us because we have never found a verse that doesn’t apply to marriage somehow.
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. (Proverbs 30:5)
