What is man, that you think of him? What is the son of man, that you care for him? (Psalms 8:4 WEB
If you think God is an impossible task master. That he will never be pleased with you until you do some might work. That he will never reward you until you complete some epic quest for the holy grail. You are wrong. Consider the following verses and meditate on what he expects you to do.
Then the LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living person. (Genesis 2:7 NASB
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have set in place;
What is man that You think of him,

- Are you a harsher taskmaster than Jesus Christ?
- Do you expect more from your family than Jesus Christ expects from you?
- Are you harder on your family than you are on yourself?

If you miss one, two, or many days, don’t worry about it and don’t try to catch up. Just start where you are and keep going. We have found the Holy Spirit can prompt you to return to just the passage you need for today.
This is an ongoing labor of love because these marriage devotionals will never be finished, but we have to start somewhere, so we will update often.
