Scripture consistently reveals Jesus Christ as the Creator, not a created being, but the eternal Word through whom all things exist, are sustained, judged, redeemed, and ultimately made new.

101 Verses that prove Jesus Christ is the Creator

Scripture consistently reveals Jesus Christ as the Creator, not a created being, but the eternal Word through whom all things exist, are sustained, judged, redeemed, and ultimately made new. I have carefully compiled this list of verses from many sources over many years. This concept is critically important because all false doctrines are attacks on the deity and character of Jesus Christ. He is not a created being. He is not one of the gods. He is not a lesser god. He is not an angel. He is Jehovah, the LORD God almighty! He is the promised Messiah from the Old Testament. Therefore, a good understanding of this list will deliver you from many harmful errors.

  1. Genesis 1:1-2“God created”The New Testament reveals the Creator as Christ – Scripture begins with God creating all things. The New Testament identifies Jesus Christ as the divine Agent of this creation: “All things were made by Him” (John 1:3), and “by Him were all things created” (Colossians 1:16). Hebrews 1:2 states God made the worlds through His Son. Genesis records the act of creation; later revelation names Christ as the eternal Creator, not a created being.
  2. Genesis 2:7“breathed… the breath of life”Christ is the source of life – The LORD God forms man and gives him life. John explains that “in Him was life” (John 1:4), identifying Christ as life’s source. Paul calls Jesus “the last Adam” who gives life (1 Corinthians 15:45). The Creator who imparted life to the first man is the same divine Person who grants spiritual and eternal life, proving Christ’s role as Creator.
  3. Genesis 6:5-7“man whom I have created”The Creator’s right to judge – God judges mankind because He created them. The New Testament teaches that all judgment has been given to the Son (John 5:22). Paul declares that the Creator is also the Judge of the world (Acts 17:24-31). Since Christ exercises divine judgment over humanity, He shares the Creator’s authority. Creation and judgment belong to the same Lord, Jesus Christ.
  4. Genesis 14:19“possessor of heaven and earth”Christ owns what He created – God is praised as the possessor of heaven and earth, meaning Owner by right of creation. The New Testament teaches that all things belong to Christ because He made them: “All things were created by Him, and for Him” (Colossians 1:16). Ownership flows from creation. Christ’s lordship over heaven and earth proves His identity as the Creator.
  5. Genesis 18:14“Is any thing too hard for the LORD?”Creator power displayed – God’s creative power over life is demonstrated in the promised birth of Isaac. The New Testament affirms that Christ possesses this same creative authority over life and death (John 11:25; Romans 4:17). Only the Creator has power to bring life where none exists. Christ’s miracles confirm His identity as the LORD who creates and sustains life.
  6. Exodus 20:11“in six days the LORD made”Christ created all things – The LORD is identified as the Maker of heaven, earth, sea, and all within them. The New Testament explicitly attributes this work to Christ: “Without Him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:3). Paul affirms Christ created “all things… visible and invisible” (Colossians 1:16). The Creator named in Exodus is revealed as Jesus Christ.
  7. Numbers 16:22“God of the spirits of all flesh”Christ as Creator of all life – God is recognized as the source of all human spirits. Hebrews teaches that Christ is the One “by whom are all things” (Hebrews 2:10). As Creator of both body and spirit, Christ possesses authority over all flesh. This title belongs only to the Creator, confirming Christ’s divine role.
  8. Deuteronomy 4:32-40“since the day that God created man”The unique Creator revealed – Moses reminds Israel that the LORD alone created man and revealed Himself in power and word. John teaches that this divine Word is Christ, “by whom all things were made” (John 1:1-3). The same God who created and spoke from heaven is revealed in the incarnate Son. There is no other Creator beside Him.
  9. Deuteronomy 5:7-11“no other gods before Me”Exclusive worship due to the Creator – The LORD forbids worship of any created thing. The New Testament commands worship of Christ, declaring Him worthy of divine honor (Philippians 2:9-11; Revelation 5:12-13). Since only the Creator may be worshiped, Christ’s rightful reception of worship proves He is not a creature but the Creator Himself.
  10. Deuteronomy 32:6“hath He not made thee?”Christ as Maker and Father – God is called Father because He made and established His people. The New Testament teaches believers are created in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:10) and that “all things were created by Him” (Colossians 1:16). Christ’s role as Maker establishes His Fatherly authority. He is Creator, not merely Redeemer.
  11. 1 Samuel 2:2“none beside thee… no rock like our God”Christ shares the LORD’s unique holiness and stability – Hannah declares the LORD’s absolute uniqueness. The New Testament applies this exclusivity to Christ, calling Him the only foundation and “Rock” (1 Corinthians 10:4; 3:11). Since only the Creator-God is incomparable and foundational, Christ’s identification as the divine Rock confirms His equality with the LORD and His role as Creator, not a created being.
  12. 2 Kings 19:15“thou hast made heaven and earth”Christ is the Maker of all kingdoms – Hezekiah confesses the LORD alone made heaven and earth. The New Testament reveals that “by Him kings reign” (Proverbs 8:15; applied to Christ in Revelation 1:5) and that all things were created by and for Christ (Colossians 1:16). The Creator-God addressed here is later revealed as the Son.
  13. 1 Chronicles 16:23-30“the LORD made the heavens”Christ distinguished from idols as Creator – The LORD is contrasted with false gods because He alone made the heavens. John affirms this exact distinction, stating, “All things were made by Him” (John 1:3). Since Christ is explicitly named as Creator in the New Testament, He is the LORD exalted above idols and worthy of worship as the Maker of heaven.
  14. 1 Chronicles 29:11“all that is in heaven and in the earth is thine”Christ possesses all as Creator – David praises the LORD for owning all things. Paul declares this same truth of Christ, saying “all things were created by Him, and for Him” (Colossians 1:16). Ownership flows from creation. Christ’s exalted headship over all proves He is the Creator to whom all things belong.
  15. Nehemiah 9:6“thou hast made… and thou preservest them all”Christ creates and sustains all things – The LORD is both Creator and Preserver. The New Testament applies this sustaining work directly to Christ: “by Him all things consist” (Colossians 1:17) and He “upholds all things by the word of His power” (Hebrews 1:3). Preservation is a divine function, confirming Christ as Creator-God.
  16. Job 38:4“when I laid the foundations of the earth”Christ present at creation’s foundation – God alone laid earth’s foundations. John identifies Christ as the eternal Word present “in the beginning” through whom all things were made (John 1:1-3). Since Christ was there at creation’s foundation, He is not a creature but the divine Creator who established the earth.
  17. Psalms 8:3-4“the work of thy fingers”Christ is Creator and exalted Son of Man – David marvels at God’s handiwork in the heavens. Hebrews applies this psalm to Christ, the Son of Man crowned with glory (Hebrews 2:6-9). The One who became man is also the Maker of the stars. Christ’s incarnation does not diminish His identity as Creator.
  18. Psalms 19:1“the heavens declare the glory of God”Creation proclaims Christ’s glory – Creation reveals God’s glory. The New Testament identifies Christ as “the image of the invisible God” and Creator of all things (Colossians 1:15-16). Since creation displays the Creator’s glory, and Christ is that Creator, the heavens testify to His divine glory.
  19. Psalms 24:1-2“the earth is the LORD’s”Christ owns the world He created – The LORD owns the earth because He founded it. Paul affirms this of Christ, stating that “the world was made by Him” (John 1:10). Ownership belongs to the Creator. Christ’s lordship over all people and places confirms His identity as the Maker of the world.
  20. Psalms 33:6-9“by the word of the LORD”Christ creates by divine command – God creates by His word. John reveals that this creative Word is Christ Himself (John 1:1-3). The Greek Logos means the divine, active self-expression of God. Creation responding instantly to God’s command demonstrates Christ’s sovereign Creator authority.
  21. Psalms 86:8-13“all nations whom thou hast made”Christ the incomparable Creator worthy of worship – David praises the LORD as unmatched among all so-called gods and as Maker of the nations. The New Testament teaches that all peoples were created through Christ and for Him (Colossians 1:16). Universal worship belongs only to the Creator, and Scripture declares every nation will bow to Christ (Philippians 2:9-11). The Creator alone is worthy of eternal praise, identifying Jesus as the LORD exalted here.
  22. Psalms 89:11“thou hast founded them”Christ owns the world He created – The heavens and earth belong to the LORD because He founded them. John affirms this of Christ, saying, “the world was made by Him” (John 1:10). Paul adds that all things were created by and for Christ (Colossians 1:16). Ownership flows from creation, proving Jesus Christ is the divine Creator who possesses all things.
  23. Psalms 90:1-6“from everlasting to everlasting”Christ the eternal Creator – Moses declares the LORD existed before creation and formed the earth. The New Testament identifies Christ as eternal, existing “before all things” (Colossians 1:17) and as the One “whose goings forth have been from everlasting” (Micah 5:2; fulfilled in Christ). Since Christ existed before creation and formed all things, He is the eternal Creator-God.
  24. Psalms 95:3-7“the LORD our maker”Christ the Maker we must worship – The psalm calls Israel to worship the LORD as their Maker. The New Testament commands worship of Christ and identifies Him as Creator (John 1:3; Hebrews 1:6). Since worship belongs only to the Creator, and Christ rightly receives worship, He is the LORD our Maker spoken of here.
  25. Psalms 96:4-6“the LORD made the heavens”Christ distinguished from idols as Creator – The LORD alone is Creator, unlike idols. John echoes this distinction, stating that “all things were made by Him” (John 1:3). Paul affirms Christ created the heavens (Colossians 1:16). The One who made the heavens is the LORD above all gods, revealed in the New Testament as Jesus Christ.
  26. Psalms 102:25-28“laid the foundation of the earth”Applied directly to Christ as Creator – This passage explicitly describes the LORD as eternal Creator. Hebrews 1:10-12 directly applies these verses to the Son, proving beyond dispute that Jesus Christ is the LORD who laid earth’s foundations. Scripture itself identifies Christ as the Creator spoken of here, confirming His full deity.
  27. Psalms 104:1-35“in wisdom hast thou made them all”Christ the wise Creator and Sustainer – The psalm praises God for creating and sustaining all life. The New Testament attributes this wisdom and sustaining power to Christ, “by whom all things consist” (Colossians 1:17). Creation, provision, and renewal are divine works, proving Jesus Christ is the Creator who governs all nature.
  28. Psalms 115:15“which made heaven and earth”Christ the source of blessing – Blessing flows from the LORD because He is Creator. The New Testament teaches that spiritual blessings come through Christ, the Creator (Ephesians 1:3; Colossians 1:16). Since blessing belongs to the Creator alone, Christ is identified as the LORD who made heaven and earth.
  29. Psalms 121:2“my help… made heaven and earth”Christ the Creator who helps His people – Help comes from the Creator. The New Testament declares Christ upholds all things (Hebrews 1:3) and is the Helper of His people (Matthew 28:20). Only the Creator can provide such sovereign help, confirming Christ’s divine identity.
  30. Psalms 124:6-8“who made heaven and earth”Christ the Creator and Deliverer – The LORD delivers because He is Creator. The New Testament teaches that Christ is both Creator and Deliverer (Colossians 1:13-16). Salvation and creation belong to the same divine Person. Jesus Christ is the LORD who made heaven and earth and rescues His people.
  31. Psalms 134:3“the LORD that made heaven and earth”Christ the Creator who blesses His people – Blessing flows from the LORD because He is the Maker of heaven and earth. The New Testament identifies Jesus Christ as this Creator, for “all things were made by Him” (John 1:3). Since divine blessing belongs to the Creator alone, and Christ bestows blessing on His people (Ephesians 1:3), He is the LORD who made heaven and earth.
  32. Psalms 146:6“made heaven, and earth… and keepeth truth”Christ the faithful Creator – The LORD is praised as Creator and as the One who remains faithful forever. The New Testament attributes both creation and faithfulness to Christ, who made all things (Colossians 1:16) and is called “Faithful and True” (Revelation 19:11). Creation and unchanging truth belong to the same divine Person, Jesus Christ.
  33. Psalms 147:4-5“calleth them all by their names”Christ’s infinite Creator knowledge – God’s power and infinite understanding are displayed in naming the stars. Isaiah later says the Creator calls them all by name (Isaiah 40:26). The New Testament reveals Christ as this Creator who knows all things (John 21:17) and upholds the universe (Hebrews 1:3). Such infinite knowledge belongs only to the Creator.
  34. Psalms 148:1-6“he commanded, and they were created”Christ creates by divine command – All creation exists because the LORD commanded it. John reveals that the divine Word through whom God commands is Christ Himself (John 1:1-3). Creation responding to His command proves Christ’s sovereign Creator authority. The One praised by angels and creation is Jesus Christ.
  35. Proverbs 3:19“by wisdom hath founded the earth”Christ the wisdom by whom God created – God created the world through wisdom. The New Testament identifies Christ as “the wisdom of God” (1 Corinthians 1:24) and as the One by whom all things were made (Colossians 1:16). Creation through wisdom points directly to Christ as the divine Creator.
  36. Proverbs 8:22-31“before the earth was”Christ eternally present with God at creation – Wisdom speaks as existing before creation and alongside God. John identifies Christ as the eternal Word present “in the beginning” (John 1:1-2). Paul calls Christ the One “before all things” (Colossians 1:17). This passage points to Christ’s eternal preexistence and active role in creation.
  37. Proverbs 14:31“reproacheth his Maker”Christ the Creator of mankind – God is called mankind’s Maker. The New Testament teaches that all people were created through Christ (Colossians 1:16). To dishonor man is to reproach his Creator, confirming Christ’s role as the Maker of all humanity.
  38. Proverbs 17:5“reproacheth his Maker”Christ the Creator offended by injustice – Mocking the poor insults their Creator. Since the New Testament teaches that Christ created all people (John 1:3), injustice against others is an offense against Christ Himself. Creation establishes moral accountability to the Creator, Jesus Christ.
  39. Proverbs 22:2“the LORD is the maker of them all”Christ the Creator of rich and poor alike – All people share the same Creator regardless of status. Paul teaches that Christ created all things and all people (Colossians 1:16). Equality before God rests on creation by Christ, not human distinction.
  40. Proverbs 30:4“what is his name, and what is his son’s name?”The Creator revealed as the Father and the Son – The passage describes the Creator of heaven and earth and explicitly mentions His Son. The New Testament reveals the Son as Jesus Christ, through whom all things were made (John 1:3; Hebrews 1:2). Scripture itself points to the Creator having a divine Son, identified as Christ.
  41. Ecclesiastes 12:1-7“remember now thy Creator”Christ the Creator who gives and receives life – Solomon exhorts youth to remember their Creator before death, when the body returns to dust and the spirit to God. The New Testament teaches that all life comes through Christ (John 1:3-4) and that spirits return to Him as Judge (John 5:22). Since Christ gives life and receives souls at death, He is the Creator Solomon commands us to remember.
  42. Isaiah 17:7“look to his Maker”Christ the Holy One who created man – Isaiah foretells a day when men will look to their Maker, the Holy One of Israel. The New Testament identifies Jesus as the Holy One (Acts 3:14) and Creator of all men (Colossians 1:16). Repentance rightly turns the heart back to Christ, the Maker whom men have ignored.
  43. Isaiah 37:16“thou hast made heaven and earth”Christ the sole Creator-God – Hezekiah confesses the LORD alone made heaven and earth. The New Testament declares this same truth of Christ: “All things were made by Him” (John 1:3). Since creation is attributed exclusively to Christ, He is the LORD worshiped here.
  44. Isaiah 40:21-22“from the foundations of the earth”Christ sovereign over creation – God is described as enthroned above the earth, stretching out the heavens. 48. Isaiah 43:1-13“I have created… I am the LORD”Christ the Creator and only Savior – The LORD declares Himself Creator, Redeemer, and sole Savior. The New Testament applies these exclusive titles to Christ (Titus 2:13; Colossians 1:16). Since no other Savior exists, and Christ saves, He must be the Creator-God spoken of here.
  49. Isaiah 44:6-8“the first and the last”Christ the eternal Creator – The LORD declares Himself the First and the Last. Jesus applies this title to Himself (Revelation 1:17), proving He is the eternal Creator who stands outside time and creation.
  50. Isaiah 44:24-26“that maketh all things”Christ the sole Creator acting alone – The LORD declares He created all things by Himself. 51. Isaiah 45:9-13“I have made the earth”Christ the Creator with absolute authority over His creation – The LORD rebukes any who contend with their Maker, declaring He alone created the earth and mankind. To resist Him is to strive with the Maker Himself.
  52. Isaiah 45:18-19“that created the heavens… formed the earth”Christ the purposeful Creator – God declares He created the world to be inhabited, not in vain. John teaches this purposeful creation was accomplished through Christ (John 1:3). The passage unites creation, redemption, and divine eternity in the same Person, Jesus Christ.
  54. Isaiah 51:12-18“thy maker… laid the foundations”Christ the Creator who comforts His people – God reminds Israel not to fear man but to remember their Maker. Christ fulfills this role as Creator and Comforter, inviting the fearful to trust Him (Matthew 11:28). Since He laid earth’s foundations and gives peace, Christ is the LORD Maker spoken of here.
  55. Isaiah 65:17-19“I create new heavens and a new earth”Christ the Creator of the new creation – God promises a new creation. The New Testament attributes this renewal to Christ, through whom all things are reconciled (Colossians 1:16-20). Revelation 21:5 shows Christ making all things new. Only the Creator can bring forth a new heavens and earth.
  56. Isaiah 66:22-24“new heavens and the new earth… shall remain”নিChrist the eternal Creator and Judge – The permanence of the new creation flows from the eternal Creator. Jesus declares He will judge all flesh (Matthew 25:31-32). Since judgment and eternal creation belong to Christ, He is the LORD Creator described here.
  57. Jeremiah 10:11-16“the former of all things”Christ contrasted with false gods as Creator – The LORD alone made heaven and earth; idols did not. 58. Jeremiah 27:5“I have made the earth”Christ the sovereign Creator over nations – God claims authority over all kingdoms because He created the earth. Paul teaches that Christ is the One through whom all authority exists (Colossians 1:16). Sovereignty over nations rests on creation, proving Christ’s divine rule.
  59. Jeremiah 32:17“nothing too hard for thee”Christ’s unlimited Creator power – Jeremiah praises God’s creative power. Jesus demonstrates this same authority, calming creation and raising the dead (Mark 4:39; John 11:43). Such power belongs only to the Creator, identifying Christ as the LORD.
  60. Jeremiah 32:27“the God of all flesh”Christ the Creator of all humanity – God declares Himself the God of all flesh. The New Testament reveals Christ as Creator of all people (Colossians 1:16). Since nothing is too hard for Him, Christ is the LORD who made and governs all flesh.
  61. Jeremiah 38:16“that made us this soul”Christ the Creator of life itself – Zedekiah swears by the LORD as the One who made the soul. Scripture teaches that life originates in Christ, for “all things were made by Him” and “in Him was life” (John 1:3-4). Since the soul comes from the Creator, and Christ gives life to all, He is the LORD acknowledged here as Maker of the soul.
  62. Jeremiah 51:15-19“the former of all things”Christ the wise Creator contrasted with idols – The LORD is distinguished from idols because He alone formed all things by wisdom and power. The New Testament affirms this of Christ, “by whom all things were created” (Colossians 1:16). Idols are lifeless; Christ is the living Creator and rightful portion of His people.
  63. Joel 2:27“I am the LORD your God, and none else”Christ the only divine LORD among His people – God declares His exclusive presence among Israel. The New Testament identifies Jesus as “God with us” (Matthew 1:23) and Creator of all (John 1:3). Since the LORD alone is Creator and Christ dwells among His people, Jesus is the LORD spoken of here.
  64. Amos 4:13“formeth the mountains… createth the wind”Christ the Creator of nature and mind – The LORD forms creation and knows man’s thoughts. The New Testament teaches Christ created all things (Colossians 1:16) and knows what is in man (John 2:25). Such power over nature and the human heart belongs only to the Creator, Jesus Christ.
  65. Amos 9:5-6“founded… calleth for the waters”Christ the sovereign Creator over earth and sea – God’s power over land and waters reveals His Creator authority. The New Testament shows Christ exercising this same authority, calming seas by command (Mark 4:39). Since control over creation belongs to the Creator, Christ is the LORD described here.
  66. Zechariah 12:1“formeth the spirit of man”Christ the Creator of body and spirit – The LORD forms man’s spirit within him. Hebrews teaches Christ is the One “by whom are all things” (Hebrews 2:10). Creation of both material and immaterial life confirms Christ’s role as divine Creator.
  67. Matthew 19:4“he which made them at the beginning”Jesus identifies the Creator as God – Jesus affirms God made mankind male and female at creation. John reveals Jesus Himself was present and active in that creation (John 1:1-3). Christ speaks as eyewitness and Agent of creation, identifying Himself with the Creator’s work.
  68. Matthew 19:26“with God all things are possible”Christ shares unlimited Creator power – Jesus attributes omnipotence to God. 69. Mark 13:19“the creation which God created”Christ speaks as Lord over creation – Jesus refers to creation as God’s work, yet Scripture teaches all creation was made through Him (John 1:3). Christ speaks with authority over creation because He is its Creator and Lord.
  70. Luke 1:37“with God nothing shall be impossible”Christ the omnipotent Creator – God’s unlimited power is affirmed in the incarnation. The New Testament teaches this miracle occurred through the eternal Son (Luke 1:35; John 1:14). Only the Creator can bring such power to pass, identifying Christ as the divine Creator.
  71. John 1:1-3“All things were made by him”Jesus Christ explicitly named as Creator – John identifies the eternal Word (Logos) as both with God and God, existing before creation. He then states plainly that all things were made by Him, leaving nothing outside His creative work. This is the clearest declaration in Scripture that Jesus Christ is the Creator of everything that exists, eternal and uncreated Himself.
  72. John 1:15-18“he was before me”Christ’s eternal preexistence and creative fullness – John the Baptist testifies that Jesus existed before him, proving Christ’s eternal nature. As the only begotten Son who reveals the Father, Christ possesses divine fullness. Since creation requires eternal existence, Christ’s preexistence confirms His role as Creator (John 1:3; Colossians 1:16).
  73. John 5:16-18“making himself equal with God”Christ claims divine work and authority – Jesus declares that His work is the same ongoing work as the Father’s. The Jews correctly understood this as a claim to equality with God. Since creation is God’s work, Christ’s participation proves He shares the divine identity of the Creator.
  74. Acts 4:24“thou art God… hast made”The Creator addressed as Lord – The early church prays to God as Creator of all things. John 1:3 identifies Jesus as the One through whom all things were made. Since Scripture does not divide the work of creation among different gods, Christ must be included fully as the Creator worshiped here.
  75. Acts 14:15“the living God, which made”Christ distinguished from false gods as Creator – Paul contrasts idols with the living God who created everything. The New Testament teaches that Christ made all things (Colossians 1:16). Therefore, Jesus is not a lesser being but the living Creator God to whom Paul calls men to turn.
  76. Acts 17:22-28“God that made the world”Christ the Creator in whom all live – Paul declares that God created the world and gives life and breath to all. Scripture teaches this same truth of Christ, for “in Him all things consist” (Colossians 1:17). Since all people live and exist through Christ, He is the Creator God Paul proclaims.
  77. Romans 1:18-25“the Creator”Christ revealed through creation itself – Paul teaches that creation reveals God’s eternal power and Godhead. John identifies Christ as that Creator (John 1:3). To worship creation rather than the Creator is to reject Christ Himself, proving Jesus is included in the divine identity revealed by creation.
  78. Romans 4:20-25“able also to perform”Creator power displayed in resurrection – God’s creative power is shown in raising Jesus from the dead. The New Testament teaches Christ possesses life in Himself (John 5:26). Resurrection power belongs to the Creator, confirming Christ’s divine authority over life and death.
  79. Romans 11:33-36“of him, and through him”Christ the source and goal of creation – Paul declares all things are from God, through Him, and for Him. Colossians 1:16 applies this exact language to Christ. Since all things exist through Christ and for Christ, He is the Creator and rightful object of glory.
  80. 1 Corinthians 8:6“by whom are all things”Christ named as Creator alongside the Father – Paul affirms one God the Father and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things. Creation is directly attributed to Christ without qualification. This verse unmistakably identifies Jesus Christ as the Creator, fully divine and equal with the Father.
  81. Ephesians 3:7-11“created all things by Jesus Christ”Christ explicitly named as Creator – Paul states plainly that God created all things by Jesus Christ, grounding redemption and the church in Christ’s creative work. Creation and eternal purpose are united in the Son. This verse leaves no ambiguity: Jesus Christ is the divine Agent through whom all creation came into existence, according to God’s eternal plan.
  82. Ephesians 3:14-19“of whom the whole family… is named”Christ the source and sustainer of all – All heavenly and earthly beings derive their identity from the Father through Christ. Since naming implies authority and origin, and Christ indwells believers with divine fullness, He must be the Creator through whom all families exist (cf. Colossians 1:16).
  83. Colossians 1:15-20“by him were all things created”The fullest biblical declaration of Christ as Creator – Paul declares that all things, visible and invisible, were created by Christ, through Christ, and for Christ. He existed before all things and sustains them. Creation, providence, reconciliation, and resurrection supremacy all belong to Jesus Christ, proving He is Creator and not part of creation.
  84. Colossians 3:10-11“after the image of him that created him”Christ the Creator of the new man – Believers are renewed after the image of their Creator, who is identified as Christ dwelling in all. Since both original creation and new creation are attributed to Christ, He is Creator of humanity in every sense (cf. John 1:12-13).
  85. Hebrews 1:1-4“by whom also he made the worlds”The Son as Creator and Sustainer – God made the worlds through the Son, who also upholds all things by His power. The Son is the exact image of God’s nature. Creation and continual preservation belong to Christ, proving His full deity and Creator authority.
  86. Hebrews 1:10-12“Thou, Lord… hast laid the foundation”Old Testament Creator text applied to Christ – Psalms 102, spoken of the LORD as Creator, is directly applied to the Son. Scripture itself identifies Jesus Christ as the One who laid earth’s foundations and remains eternally unchanging. This is decisive proof that Christ is the LORD Creator.
  87. Hebrews 3:1-6“he that built all things is God”Christ identified as the divine Builder – Christ is contrasted with Moses as the Builder over God’s house. Since “he that built all things is God,” and Christ is the Builder, He must be God. Creation authority belongs to Christ alone.
  88. Hebrews 11:1-3“the worlds were framed by the word of God”Creation by the divine Word, Christ – Creation was spoken into existence by God’s Word. John identifies this Word as Christ (John 1:1-3). Thus faith understands that Christ is the divine Agent through whom creation was framed.
  89. 1 Peter 1:20“foreordained before the foundation”Christ’s preexistence before creation – Christ existed before the foundation of the world. Preexistence before creation is necessary to be Creator. Since Christ was foreordained prior to creation, He is eternal and uncreated, fitting only the Creator.
  90. 1 Peter 4:19“a faithful Creator”Christ the Creator entrusted with souls – Believers entrust their souls to a faithful Creator. Since Christ saves, keeps, and judges souls (John 10:28; John 5:22), He must be the faithful Creator Peter describes. Creation and salvation rest in the same Lord, Jesus Christ.
  91. 2 Peter 3:3-7“by the word of God”Christ the Creator whose word formed and sustains creation – Peter teaches that creation came into existence and is preserved by the word of God. John identifies this Word as Jesus Christ (John 1:1-3). The same Word that created the heavens now sustains them and reserves them for judgment. Christ is therefore both Creator and Sustainer, exercising sovereign authority over creation’s beginning and end.
  92. 2 Peter 3:11-13“new heavens and a new earth”Christ the Creator who brings final renewal – Peter looks forward to a new creation promised by God. Revelation reveals Christ saying, “Behold, I make all things new” (Revelation 21:5). Only the original Creator can dissolve the old creation and bring forth a righteous new one. Christ’s authority over both creation and re-creation confirms Him as Creator.
  93. 1 John 1:1-4“from the beginning… the Word of life”The eternal Creator manifested in flesh – John testifies that the Word who existed “from the beginning” was seen and touched. This Word is the eternal life who was with the Father and later revealed in Christ. Since John 1:3 identifies this Word as Creator, the incarnation reveals the Creator Himself entering His creation.
  94. Revelation 1:8“Alpha and Omega”Christ the eternal Creator and sovereign Lord – The Alpha and Omega title declares absolute eternity and sovereignty. Jesus later applies this same title to Himself (Revelation 22:13). Since only the Creator stands at the beginning and end of all things, Christ’s claim identifies Him as the eternal Creator-God.
  95. Revelation 2:8“the first and the last”Christ eternal beyond creation and death – Jesus identifies Himself as the First and the Last, titles reserved for God alone (Isaiah 44:6). As the One who died and lives again, Christ proves He existed before creation and remains beyond it. Eternity on both sides of creation belongs only to the Creator.
  96. Revelation 3:14“the beginning of the creation of God”Christ the source, not part, of creation – The Greek archē means origin or source, not first created being. Christ is declared the beginning, or source, of creation. This aligns with John 1:3 and Colossians 1:16, identifying Jesus as the originator of all creation.
  97. Revelation 4:8“which was, and is, and is to come”Christ shares the eternal identity of the Creator – The worship of the eternal LORD matches Christ’s own self-description (Revelation 1:8). Eternal existence apart from creation is a defining attribute of the Creator, shared fully by Christ.
  98. Revelation 4:11“thou hast created all things”Christ worthy of worship as Creator – Creation exists for God’s pleasure. Since the New Testament teaches all things were created by and for Christ (Colossians 1:16), Christ is worthy of this worship as Creator. Worship given to Him confirms His divine identity.
  99. Revelation 10:6“who created heaven… earth… sea”Christ the eternal Creator who governs time – The oath is sworn by the eternal Creator of all realms. Christ, who declares Himself eternal and sovereign over history (Revelation 1:18), shares this Creator authority, governing both creation and time itself.
  100. Revelation 11:17“thou hast taken to thee thy great power”Christ reigning as Creator-King – God’s reign is praised as the exercise of Creator power. Revelation later shows Christ reigning visibly as King of kings (Revelation 19:16). Since dominion belongs to the Creator, Christ’s reign confirms His identity as the Creator-Lord.
  101. Revelation 13:8“the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world”Christ the eternal Creator and Redeemer – The Lamb’s redemptive work is rooted in eternity, before creation itself. Since Christ was foreknown before the world’s foundation (1 Peter 1:20) and all things were created through Him (John 1:3), this verse unites creation and redemption in one Person. The Creator entered His creation as the Lamb to redeem it.
  102. Revelation 14:7“worship him that made”Christ the Creator worthy of worship – All mankind is commanded to worship the Creator of heaven, earth, sea, and waters. The New Testament teaches that all things were made by and for Christ (Colossians 1:16). Since worship belongs only to the Creator, and Christ is worshiped throughout Revelation, Jesus Christ is the Creator God honored here.
  103. Revelation 15:3“the song of the Lamb”The Creator praised alongside the Redeemer – The redeemed sing both the song of Moses and of the Lamb, praising God’s mighty works. Creation and redemption are inseparable divine works. Since Scripture teaches Christ created all things (John 1:3), His praise as the Lamb includes His role as Creator.
  104. Revelation 16:7“true and righteous are thy judgments”The Creator’s authority to judge – Righteous judgment belongs to the Creator who governs His creation. Jesus taught that all judgment is given to the Son (John 5:22). Since judgment authority rests with Christ, He must be the Creator-God whose judgments are praised here.
  105. Revelation 19:6“the Lord God omnipotent reigneth”Christ reigning with Creator power – Omnipotence belongs to the Creator alone. Revelation later shows Christ reigning as King of kings (Revelation 19:16). Since absolute rule belongs to the Creator, Christ’s reign confirms His identity as Creator-God.
  106. Revelation 21:1-8“Behold, I make all things new”Christ the Creator of the new creation – The One seated on the throne declares Himself Alpha and Omega and promises a new creation. Jesus identifies Himself with these same titles (Revelation 22:13). Only the original Creator can dissolve the old creation and bring forth a new one. Christ is both Creator and Restorer.
  107. Revelation 21:22“the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb”Christ shares the divine presence as Creator – The Lamb shares the temple with the Lord God Almighty. Since God does not share His glory with another (Isaiah 42:8), the Lamb must be fully divine. As Scripture teaches Christ created all things, He rightly shares the Creator’s dwelling and glory.
  108. Revelation 22:12-21“I am Alpha and Omega”Jesus explicitly claims Creator titles – Jesus personally speaks, calling Himself Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last. These titles belong to the eternal Creator alone (Isaiah 44:6). By claiming them, Jesus Christ unmistakably identifies Himself as the eternal Creator who began all things and brings them to completion.

  1. Hi Cam,

Only God (and the Bible is crystal clear that there is but One God) can provide purification of the world’s past, present & future sins (aka ALL & everybody’s sin), right?
Now see below Who actually provides this purification for the sins of the world.

    Here’s that mighty verse:
“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Only God (the One & Only God)
is the Creator of All things, seen & unseen! And He does not share His glory & creative powers with anyone, right?
But see below who actually did the Creation work (of things seen and unseen):
These are the two fantastic & mind-boggling but true verses:
“For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
    ‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:16-17

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭1:1-3‬ ‭NIV‬‬ (special emphasis on verse 3)

Christianity does not have 3 gods but One God. Yet this is what our Bible says. Either we trust God and accept what He says about Himself (thatJesus & The Father & the Holy Spirit) are the One God or we depend in human rational and deny this truth.

May God open our eyes and increase our faith in Him!

    Blessings Cam!

Also, God does not share the worship of Him with anyone. We are clearly instructed (Rev 22:9…& using plain logic & common sense) to worship only God
    but
But see below who else we are instructed to worship….
    read this mighty, mighty verse:
“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:9-11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

His (Jesus’) Name is higher than every other name and we know only God’s Name is the highest & we also only bow our knee to God; in worship, adoration, in awe, allegiance & praise for Who He is and here we bow to Jesus.
Go figure, as the cliche goes!

    So in summary:
How could Jesus Christ be the Forgiver, Creator, Highest Name holder, Command Heaven & Earth’s worship (remember, EVERY knee WILL bow down & EVERY tongue WILL confess)
    plus
be the Lord OF ALL Lords unless He is truly the ONE God, The Word?
    plus
The Great Shepherd of our souls
& finally, as if all the above was already not enough proof:
Why would God ask us to trust in Jesus for eternal life if Jesus isn’t God? Shouldn’t God have said to trust in Himself (The Father) instead?
    (John 3:16)

Our spirit and plain logic & common sense should tell us that He is Lord.
We should let God show us Who He is, Who Jesus is and He has, via His Word, the Bible!

Read the whole counsel, aka the whole bible in it’s entirety and let it reveal this truth to you.
Let’s not pick and choose. We are fallible. The Bible is axiomatic (self-proving, self evident, self-interpreting)..,let’s let the Bible interpret the Bible.

  2. I was asked an interesting question once and would love to hear thoughts from others.
God is called Father 189 times in the Bible. Of those references, the OT refers to God as a Father 13 times. The NT references God as Father 176 times. The Gospel of John accounts for God the Father 122 references (65%).
Why did God change the emphasis on how He reveals himself to man as Father, Son and Spirit? Isaiah 9:6 reveals the timing with ‘a child is born’.

    • Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is greater than their names. (Hebrews 1:1-4 NLT)

  3. 1. The general, (or ‘masculine’) cosmos and the special (or ‘feminine’) Earth (Genesis 1:1).
    2. The Earth, as its own general subject, implying that which we all intuit is most valuable about the Earth unto itself in all the cosmos: its abiding maximal abundance of open liquid water (Genesis 1:2).
    3. that water and its special relation to the Sun’s light, hence the water cycle (vs. 3-10);
    4. The water cycle and its special beneficiary and member, biology (vs. 11-12);
    5. biology and its special category, animal biology (plant/animal/mineral = animal) (vs. 20-22, 24-25);
    6. Animal biology and its special category, human (vs. 26-28);
    7. The general man and the special woman (Genesis 2:21-23).
This all begins with a true view of the Hebrew of Genesis 1:1:

Hebrew presents the verb first, then the subject. Thus, the Hebrew of Genesis 1:1 is

    ‘In the beginning…
    created…
    God…
    the Heaven and the Earth.

English is the other way: subject, then verb:

    ‘In the beginning…
    God…’

    The difference is profound.

The English encourages the ‘worshipful’ sense that God is a Command and Control, and otherwise aloof, Being.

The Hebrew precludes any such sense about God. It does this by being anticipatory of the subject in terms of the action taken by the subject. Thus, for Genesis 1:1, the Hebrew sequence has us encounter the verb prior to encountering the subject:

    ‘In the beginning created…’

The Hebrew grammar of any statement that includes both verb and subject is such that the verb is presented first, then the subject. Call it verb-subject grammar, or V-S. English is the other way, or S-V. In English, we say, ‘the dog runs’. In Hebrew, one says, ‘run the dog’.

So Genesis 1:1 is not affirming the English S-V, despite that English translations are S-V. Rather, it is affirming the Hebrew V-S: ‘In the beginning created…’ This *anticipates* the subject. English normally is *additive*, and degradative

    ‘God created in the beginning.’

Hebrew, on the other hand, is anticipatory and, thereby, both (1) emphatically relational and (2) compounding:

‘In the beginning created God the Heaven and the Earth.’

The subject is in the center, with the topic and verb first, then the subject, then the object. The whole is an emphatically—that is, a compound—-anticipatory sequence of presentation.

So, to begin with, the first words of Hebrew grammar of v. 1 provokes in the reader an anticipation of the subject, God, and, in turn, the object(s). And that, in its own turn, provokes a sense as to what is the relation between those objects.

The Creation is exquisite: nothing is generic or reductive. Not even matter is ‘just matter’. Rather, matter is finely tuned, and this specifically so that creaturely life is possible. In other words, matter is NOT some cheap stuffing that a hasty and greedy taxidermist would use to give lifelike form to an animal hide.

Unfortunately, some Christians today feel they are being wise in reducing Genesis 1:1 to a concern explicitly and exclusively for the fact that God created ‘space’, ‘matter’, and ‘time’.

Of course, God created these things. But the best possible first statement of a God-honoring Creationary account of origins is not, by definition, the ‘factoid’ that God created ‘space’, ‘matter’ and ‘process’. Let roadkill be said to be made of such genericized things. But you would never think to begin your daughter’s wedding by declaring, ‘Behold, all ye wedding guests! All things are made of matter, space, and process!’ LOL

In short, God does not take His cue from ‘science’ worshipers (be they atheists or Christians) who claim to love what is but a cheap and reductive misconception of physical cosmology.

  4. You’re a dear, sweet brother. But very few of these verses show that CHRIST is Creator. Don’t misunderstand me, He IS Creator, and fully God. But you can’t find that in 95% of these verses.

  5. THANK YOU, I am a very busy teacher Who will pass on your good work. I think I typed in the search bar: 101 Bible verse that show Jesus is God
